Via Regia:
Music along the King's Road from Damaskus to Santiago
1:00 pm – Pre-Concert Talk with the musicians
2:00 pm – Concert
For centuries, the Via Regia carried merchants, pilgrims, scholars, and musicians between East and West. Travel with us from Damascus to Santiago de Compostela on a journey through cultures, faiths, and time. Arabic song, Sephardic music, medieval Minnesang, and Renaissance lute music retrace this historic route in sound. Beginning as a walking concert through the museum, the journey culminates in a shared musical encounter in the Mars-Venus Hall.
