Andrea Antico – born in Istria as Andrija Motovunjanin – was an important music publisher in Rome at the beginning of the 16th century. Some "Frottole" of his and from Franjo Bosanac (Franciscus Bossinensis), his competition in Venice, are heard in this program. From the middle of the century come motets and madrigals from Andrija Petris (Andrea Patricio) and Julije Skjavetic (Giulio Schiavetti) and from the later part of this very fruitful century a madrigal from Palestrina, „Là ver l'aurora", that Gabriello Puliti used for a parody-mass. With the wonderful a capella men's ensemble Klapa Croatia we can form a picture of Croatian music from the Renaissance to today.
